ABTEC, held this year on the 9-10 June at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, is the largest and most prestigious event that assembles the entire banking technology community from across the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region. Over the last 10 years, ABTEC has brought together more than 8,000 banking industry executives and over 1,000 technology providers to meet, network and do business. In 2015, ABTEC has brought new ideas, new inspiration and game-changing solutions to serve a US$13 billion per annum regional banking technology market. With more content, more exhibitors and an expanded conference program. This year, the ABTEC event was located at a new venue in Abu Dhabi and is set to grow in the years to come.
With a large and contemporary solutions suite booth, Glory Global Solutions with Rashed Al Makhawi were able to showcase much of our extensive range of cash management solutions, including the Vertera 6G. With more than 100 visitors to the Glory stand, we were able to demonstrate our technological innovations to more than 50 banks from Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region.
Unmatched in terms of expertise in cash management hardware and software, Glory’s was asked to deliver a speaker slot entitled ‘Branch Transformation: Tailoring the branch to meet customer needs’. Joop Schouten was appointed speaker and explained to the audience how "as we automate more in the branch, it is key to ensure that we maintain the reasons consumers use the branch and tailor transactions to consumers’ needs". This session explored the role of the teller and the movement towards branch transformation, how banks can achieve cost savings, and the types of new branch environment that are now achievable to improve the customer experience. The session was a great success in terms of attendees and generated a good debate among the audience.
