INVIGORATING THE COMMUNITY & BRINGING BUILDING SOCIETIES, COMMUNITY CHAMPIONS AND GOVERNMENT TOGETHER EVENT
Taking place at Leeds Building Society Head Office and hosted by their CEO Richard Fearon, the event will be focused on Banking and the High Street and what that means to the Building Society sector.
Facilitated by Glory Global Solutions*, there will be a diverse range of speakers from Community Catalysers, Parliament, Retail, and Leading Building Societies. The event will support the engagement of a highly positive and growing number of building societies who are finding ways to innovate and develop their services to maintain a high street banking proposition.
After a Welcome and 'State of the Nation' from Leeds Building Society CEO and Kevin Hollinrake - MP for Thirsk and Malton, and Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Department for Business and Trade), the day will cover-
- The Community and the Need for Catalysts - View of the major changes’ communities are undergoing, the impact of banks leaving, and the commercial vacuum left. How community champions, including retailers, are supporting with their shared services.
- Where and How Building Societies can ‘Play their Part’ - Strategy, physical presence, design, and implementation.
- Access to Basic Banking Services - How two of the major regional, building society players designed their strategy to support communities, return banking services to the community, and are executing it now to lead “reinvigoration”.
