Credit Union reports improved member service, heightened security and doubling of loans in some locations

Lisle, Illinois February 14, 2017 – Glory Global Solutions announced today that Purdue Federal Credit Union (Purdue Federal) has deployed its Vertera™ 6G Teller Cash Recycler as part of the credit union’s branch renovation program.  Following deployment of the TCRs, Purdue Federal has already reported improvements in member service and doubling of loan volumes in some locations.

In redesigning their branches, the credit union’s aim was to create an open retail concept that would replace traditional lines and utilize teller pods.  A key element of this was the use of cash recyclers that would eliminate the need for cash drawers.  In choosing the most appropriate solution Purdue Federal considered size, reliability and security.  From a member service perspective it was also important that the machines could be serviced quickly and efficiently.  After considering different options Purdue Federal chose to deploy Glory’s proven teller cash recycler solution.

Since deploying the solution as part of its branch redesign, Purdue Federal has witnessed significant improvements in several areas. One obvious change has been the creation of an open, secure environment with a focus on meeting member needs.  The cash recyclers have enabled member consultants to spend more time with members as operational aspects of their job responsibilities have been reduced by around 30 percent.  This has led Purdue Federal to focus the member consultant role more on member engagement.

Heather Nally, Vice President of Retail, Sales and Service at Purdue Federal Credit Union, confirmed, “The machines help with staff time because our member consultants no longer need to do manual cash handling work and can focus more on member engagement.  We nearly doubled the loan volume at some branches due to the time savings the Glory machines provided which allowed for increased member engagement.”

The deployment of TCRs at Purdue Federal branches is ongoing, with three new Glory Vertera 6G recyclers deployed in December and more to come in 2017.

James Robinson, Senior Vice President, Regional and Indirect FI Sales, Branch Teller Automation, at Glory Global Solutions welcomed the announcement.  He said “Using Glory Teller Cash Recyclers has enabled Purdue Federal Credit Union to enhance security in higher risk locations while implementing a fluid open-concept branch layout.  The levels of service we provide, coupled with the opportunities for member engagement our TCRs create, have helped develop improved member service and resulted in increased loan levels.  We are proud of our partnership with Purdue Federal Credit Union.”
