Basingstoke, October 5, 2016 – At BAI Beacon in Chicago, it was today announced that Glory has been ranked 19th in the American Banker / BAI Fintech Forward 100 list.  The report is a yearly initiative that identifies the forces and trends that are motivating banks’ technology investments.

Today’s announcement reflects Glory’s innovative approach to cash technology solutions and follows on from the company’s recognition in the IDC Financial Insights FinTech 100 Rankings last month.  In a competitive market, the company continues to focus on research and development, investing 5.5% of revenues every year to develop cash technology solutions that give partners peace of mind and help them secure the future.

Mike Bielamowicz, EVP Global Solutions at Glory welcomed the company’s inclusion in the report rankings and explained the philosophy behind Glory’s recent successes.  He said “Our on-going commitment to R and D and our consistent delivery of proven solutions means our customers can be confident in an effective return on investment.  What makes Glory unique is that we are the only company working across the entire cash chain. We therefore have a deeper knowledge of the unique requirements of interacting with cash throughout our customers’ organization and beyond.”

As well as automating cash processes across the entire branch (in the back office with counters and sorters, in the middle office with TCRs and in the front office with its teller assisted solution, TellerInfinity), Glory works with all the industries involved in the cash cycle – retailers, banks and CITs – enabling the company to innovate where the industries intersect, to solve problems in the ‘white space’ and help customers drive the next level of efficiency and performance.

Glory’s innovative solutions have been a driver for branch transformation.  Recent research demonstrates that though branch usage has declined, a branch presence remains key to customer attraction and retention.  There has been a shift in the public mind from branch ‘dependence’ (a place to transact) to ‘convenience’ (a place to get expert advice) and this presents an on-going challenge for banks.

Bielamowicz explained “The branch remains an important channel.  The challenge is to make it a cost effective and profitable one – and that involves change.  Transformation requires automation and Glory delivers the solutions to enable this.  Our solutions enable banks to deliver high levels of customer service in a smaller footprint and at lower cost, enhancing the bottom line”.

Fintech Forward’s Top 100 Technology Providers represent the largest fintech focused companies in the world.  The rankings are determined by year-end (calendar) revenues and the percentage of revenues attributed to financial services
