SUPERVALU PORTUMNA: ELIMINATING CASH RECONCILIATION ISSUES AND AUTOMATING END OF DAY BALANCING
SuperValu is part of the Musgrave Group, Ireland’s largest grocery and food distributor. With 223 stores throughout Ireland and having served the people of Ireland for the last 41 year, it is a well-established landmark across Irish communities.
With their cash office located upstairs, O’Meara’s Supervalu Portumna staff were continuously walking up and down to process cash from 10 tills throughout the day. The was burdened with staff spending large amounts of time running up the stairs for change, counting cash, preparing floats for start of the day, reconciliation at end-of-day and sorting notes for the ATM. Their challenge was to try and streamline the processes and reduce the amount of time it was taking to manage their cash.

The CI-100 allows for the handling of both notes and coins, automate float dispense, end-of-day reconciliation and deposit preparation for CIT collections and ATM machines, as well as detailed audit trails via the CI-server software.
The solution offered improved security with large denomination notes stored within the safe while allowing for lower denomination notes and coins to be recycled.
