Neu-Isenburg / Dusseldorf (Germany), 14 February 2020 – At this year's EuroShop trade fair from 16 to 20 February in Hall 6, Stand 80D, GLORY promises many highlights addressing the investment requirements of the retail sector. With the slogan “CENTRALISED CASH MANAGEMENT – ALL SERVICES FROM THE CLOUD”, GLORY will be showing its new software platform, which is geared towards the individual (payment) needs of retailers. Furthermore, application scenarios such as cash back at SCO or coin recycling in return for a voucher illustrate how retailers can create new cash services using the CASHINFINITYTM product range as profitable customer touchpoints.

Processing, networking, fusion

The increasing digitalisation of retail requires forward-looking and, above all, flexible solutions for individual shop concepts. On the technical and logistical side (involving cash), this creates major challenges that require flexible solutions and highly competent partners. For process optimisation and improved customer engagement, new technologies in retail need to integrate with (technical) infrastructure, fuse with the omni-channel strategy, and support the processing of digital information. However, with the growing reliance on increasingly complex (IT) infrastructures, the need for high availability also increases, because these valuable customer touchpoints have to run reliably while optimising processes and value creation. That's why aspects of store operations are becoming increasingly centralised or partly outsourced by remote management services or back office activities so that retailers can concentrate on their core business.

GLORY addresses these challenges with a new software platform in the CASHINFINITYTM series, which offers increased flexibility and connectivity around the POS. With the partner product "CETIS powered by S&N Invent GmbH", GLORY takes the next step in modern cash processing and enables a flexible integration of the most diverse checkout concepts – on board and from the cloud.

Whether in a small store with low cash volumes or a branch network connected to CIT for demand-based cash supply – with CETIS, retailers benefit both in terms of system availability and centralised cash management, as well as process optimisation and increased value creation through integration into ERP systems.

New checkout solutions for digital retail

Another major topic for retail relating to the checkout process is the option of different payment methods. New digital payment models are designed to make the payment process as comfortable as possible for customers. Still, a large proportion of customers find cash more convenient, secure and controlled. With its cash management systems, cash recyclers and cash automation solutions from the CASHINFINITYTM range, GLORY offers key technologies that establish the foundation for new cash services and thus contribute to an enhanced customer experience. Examples here include cash back at the shop or self-service checkout, hygienic payment enabled by customer-operated systems or coin recycling in exchange for a voucher. At EuroShop, GLORY will present how the technology can be integrated into various checkout models and individual store designs – from the pre-order kiosk or the fully integrated counter solution with CI-5 to self-checkout cash stations with CI-10 to pay towers with high banknote capacity and secure vault storage based on the CI-50.

These solutions make retail more autonomous in the development of new cash cycles. Customers in turn become less dependent on the availability of their bank’s ATMs. As a result, retailers are increasingly becoming consumers' cash suppliers, whether through expanding extensive cashback services or through cash withdrawals in cooperation with banks and other financial institutions.

Efficient cash processing in the back office

Along with its solutions for optimised cash processing in the front office, GLORY will also present products for the back office, such as the CI-100. These supplement the POS systems by adding automation and digitalisation of cash in a consistent manner to typical back office activities, thus solving the general problems associated with manual cash processing.
