As Building Societies celebrate their 250th year in 2025, Glory is delighted to be kicking off the celebrations on Wednesday 22nd January 2025 at Market Harborough Building Society’s Head Office.

Bringing together Building Societies and Credit Unions from across the UK and Ireland, we will be hosting a day focused on a theme of ‘tradition meets transformation’.

Taking place from 10AM until 4PM, the day will involve presentations and discussions from Societies, Credit Unions, and Technology providers who are working closely with both to deliver innovation, improved operating models and the branch ready for tomorrow. Discussion will focus around-

  • Changes taking place across the sectors and where this is positively taking us.
  • Technology and Digital Developments and the growth of more diverse teams.

  • Branching Out: How Technology is Driving Transformation in Building Societies.

  • Protecting your digital members, young and old.

Speakers and agenda will include-

  • Ian Kirkpatrick, CEO of Market Harborough Building Society, will be discussing The Thrive Agenda and how it’s helping the Market Harborough community.
  • Robin Fieth, CEO of the BSA will be presenting ‘Our History as Inspiration for Our Future’.
  • Gareth Evans, Director of The Financial Inclusion Centre will be discussing how to harness innovation to increase financial inclusion.

  • Josh Rix and Ben Nadel, Co-Founders of Woodhurst will be discussing their work and how technology can and is driving transformation in Building Societies.
